The American Cleaning Institute (ACI), the trade association for the U.S. cleaning product supply chain, welcomed Jessica Ek as Director, Digital Communications. This is a new position within the organization.

Ms. Ek joins ACI (cleaninginstitute.org) after 10 years with the American Nurses Association, where she most recently served as Manager, Social Media Engagement.

"As ACI speaks to multiple audiences about the safety, benefits and sustainability of cleaning products, we need to be smarter than ever about how and where we deliver those messages in a rapidly-evolving communications marketplace," said Melissa Hockstad, ACI President & CEO. "Jessica Ek’s experience in the digital sphere will allow us to better maximize our website and social media communication platforms in the months and years ahead."

While at the American Nurses Association (ANA), Ms. Ek helped formulate and sustain the organization’s social media strategies, built and grew ANA’s social media channels and managed a major redesign project for the association’s website.

Prior to her time at ANA, Ms. Ek worked as a copywriter and senior blog strategist for Connors Communications in New York City. She is a graduate of Drew University in Madison, NJ, with a B.A. in English (cum laude) with a Minor in Linguistics.

Ms. Ek will report to Vice President of Communications Brian Sansoni.
